Fertility Test

One Step Pregnancy Test (HCG)

What is HCG?

Since the early appearance of the HCG in female body, even in the early 10 weeks, HCG could be increasing according to the development of the embryo. That is the reason people choose HCG as a best standard for pregnancy. With ELISA and radioactive immunity to test the HCG value in natural and un-natural pregnant female’s urine, we could get a pregnancy conclusion according to the HCG value in urine and serum.HCG has been increased in the early 7-8 days after female’s ovulation process (during the 21-22 days of menstruate cycle). But it can also be postponed after 15 days of ovulation.

What is t he best period for pregnancy test?

Generally 7-49 days would be the suitable period for testing after sex. There would be some difference between the positive and weak positive depending on your different testing period.

What is positive, negative or weak positive?

Positive ---- very possible to get pregnancy; Weak positive ---- possible but can not be confirmed. Suggest to retest after 48 hours. Negative ---- no pregnancy or HCG value has not reached a standard level.

What should you do if you were weak positive?

Retest your urine after 48 hours of your first weak positive test. If the weak positive result still last for a long time, please turn to the hospital for further testing: Sometimes very high level HCG content could have weak positive result.

The medicine influence to HCG testing

Some medicine including pregnancy hormone(for example: some prophylactic) can influence the testing result.

The best time for testing

Right after supposed menstruate period, HCG test could be done on the same day (HCG always exists during the pregnancy period). Morning urine is preferred for the HCG test, because the first morning urine is without dilute which would contain high level HCG.

Is it OK to read the outcome after reading time?

Over the reading time, the result would not have the scientific bases. If the result is negative on the end of reading time, but the strip still shows a light red line after the reading time. Maybe that is the result of continuing releasing of the color signed materials, the result would not be considered as the right one

During the testing process, we would see the climbing of the red liquid on the strip. How to explain about this matter?

That is the normal phenomena for the layer analysis of specimen. The most important thing is that the background of the strip should be clear when you read the result.

One Step Ovulation Test (LH)

If the T line is deeper than C line for two days. Which day should be the suitable time for ovulation?

The first appearing day for T line deeper than C line should be a suitable time. That means 14-48hours would be the best time for couples to have a baby from the first result of T line deeper than C line.

When is the best time for sex after appearing the highest LH result?

Ovulation could happen during 24-48 hours after the LH result reaching the highest level in urine. The ovum can live in female body for 24 hours. That is the reason we suggest couples make love after 14-48 hours once LH has the highest level in the urine.

Does water drinking influence the right result of LH?

There maybe some possible to appear the negative result, once the urine get dilution for taking too much water. Suggest controlling water drinking 2 hours before testing.

Infectious Diseases Test

Infectious Diseases Test

What is Hepatitis B Virus / HBV?

Hepatitis B Virus / HBV is the pathogeny of Hepatitis B, belonging to the virus section of hepatitis. HBV patient as well as HBV carrier are infectant headstream, especially the latter one. HBV has severe infectivity, tiny wound or mucous membrane contact with puny blood with HBV virus might be infected, furthermore, there are many infectious means. The most usual mean is blood infect, for example by transfusion, injection and so on; Secondly, unprotected sex infect; Thirdly, infectant foods go through the enteron and cause infection can not be excluded; A pregnant woman can also transmit the disease directly to her baby; There is also a possibility that insect sting will cause infect.

What is hepatitis C virus (HCV)?

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) was first definitively identified by molecular cloning of the virus genome in 1989, HCV was caused by Hepatitis C virus, and will risk health and life no less than HBV, the reasons are as follow: ① HCV disease is existing worldwide ② Easily develop into chronic hepatitis, and has close connection with hepatocirrhosis and liver cancer. HCV infection occurs in 78% - 94% infected liver transplant recipients. Since July 1st 1993 the Chinese government has screened all donated blood for HCV as well as HBV.
HCV is blood-borne, which means that it is contracted only through blood-to-blood contact. BLOOD-TO-BLOOD contact includes: blood transfusions, tattoos, e.g.: drug use, passage of mother to unborn, or shared razors.
In the majority of cases HCV infection gives rise to acute HCV, chronic HCV, hepatocirrhosis and liver cancer. There is also someone who is healthy but still HCV carrier. Almost all patients develop a vigorous antibody and cell-mediated immune response which fails to clear the infection but may contribute towards liver damage. Most flavivirus infections are cytopathic, but this has not been directly tested in the case of HCV since the virus cannot be cultured. HBV disease usually start without any obvious symptom, in some typical acute HCV case, HCV antibody will become positive after one month or more. If this positive last for four months then it becomes chronic HCV disease, at least 50% - 75% cases of HCV infection become chronic hepatitis and will become hepatocirrhosis or liver cancer at last.

Why these who takes HCV vaccine having Negative HCV antibody?

Some kind of person will not have antibody even if they have had HCV vaccine, but some others will have HCV antibody, if the concentration of HCV antibody can not reach the test requirement, the test will show negative outcome.

STD Test

STD Test

What is gonorrhea?

Gonococcus is the pathogenic bacilli of gonorrhea. Gonorrhea is the one of the sexually transmitted diseases (STD), which is the NO. 1 incidence of STD disease in China.
Human-being is the only host for gonococcus. Sex transmitted is the main way to cause the gonorrhea for adults. The reason for little girl’s gonorrhea is indirect transmitting through contacting her parents’ commodities. The physical effect is tumid and pain on outer vagina, erosion, dense secretion on vagina and so on. The new babies get gonococcus conjunctivitis from their gonorrhea mothers’ vagina injection.

What is Syphilis?

Syphilis is an important sexually transmitted disease, which could arise genital apparatus, accessorial lymph and whole physical pathological changes. It is caused by syphilis pain leptospira infection.
Human-beings are the main transmitted source for Syphilis disease. Mainly transmitted way is through unprotected sex. The pregnancy female could transmit the syphilis disease to her baby directly by placenta. The baby’s disease is called pre-exist syphilis.
Syphilis could be divided in to three periods:
  1. Hard chancre could appear on the first period of Syphilis. About one month, this chancre could be cure naturally. During this time, the leptospira would latent in the human body for 2-3 months, and then the second period happens.
  2. All skin surface will see the syphilis anthema, lymph intumesce. These results can also influence the other apparatus: bones, eyes, arthrosis and others. After three years, it could enter the third period.
  3. Syphilis virus not only destroy the skin, but also destroy all the human’s apparatus and structure. After 10-15 years, the serious matter could arise the hear blood vessel and nerve center’s pathological changes.

What is HIV?

Human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) is the disease source of acquireding immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS). From its first report in USA in 1981, it threaten human’s health with its high death level, big quantity transmitting and rapid transmitted speed. It becomes a conspicuous disease worldwide.
The infecting way of HIV is infected person and pre-exist HIV person. HIV virus would be analysis through their blood, semen, secration of their vagina, latex, medullary fluid, brains fluid and tears. There is three ways for HIV virus transmitting: A) sex B) pipe or tube for HIV blood transportation and polluted medical equipment by HIV virus. C) Especially the corporate injectors of drug abuse persons’. D) Mother to baby transmitting.

What is the meaning of positive result for HIV?

The two red lines appearing on the strip means HIV positive which means the sample blood has a high possibility to be infected by HIV. If final outcome is required, Western-Blot exam is a must. Of course, this kind of exam needs a better clinical lab to handle and give the final report. Any other company’s report just has the same function as the strip described. If you got the positive result, please connect the formal hospital for the final confirmation result. Since the high specification and sensitivity of the strip, we think the strip result would be the right result as the lab one. In fact, almost every conner will have no need to do the lad confirmation, if it shows the negative result.

What is the meaning of HIV negative result?

There is only one red line appeared on the strip, which means the HIV antibody in blood is negative. The sample blood has no HIV infection result. People should relax and be in safe situation. But during the beginning 3 months of the HIV virus in human’s body, the positive result would be hard for testing. In this way, we suggest that people should take a test after 6 months when they suspected their infection of HIV.

What is the difference between HIV whole blood testing and serum testing?

If the testing time be controlled within 30 mins. There would be no difference between these two ways, because the blood form different parts of the body would show different speed during their climbing on the strip. When the HIV antibody in the serum reaching the testing line and show the red result, the hemoglobin in plasma has not reached the testing section. At this time (within 30mins), the testing result would be no problem. If the time is over 30mins, the hemoglobin with red color could arrive the testing section; it will make some confusion for unprofessional people. But in fact, this is easy to distinguish if you have strip experience. The real red line for testing appearing on the strip would be in cross way. On the other hand comparing with the hemoglobin’s red confusion, its line would be in longitudinal style, from the bottom to the up side.

What is a-fetoprotein/ a- FP, AFP?

Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) is normally produced by a developing fetus and begins to decrease soon after birth and is usually undetectable in the blood of healthy adults (except during pregnancy).AFP is a single chain glycoprotein with a molecular weight of approximately 70,000 Daltons. An elevated level of AFP strongly suggests the presence of liver cancer.
1.   The AFP level is significantly elevated in the serum of the Primary liver cancer patient. Among them, about 77.1% patients have a AFP>500μg/l level, but 18% have no such elevation of AFP.
2.   The AFP level of Viral hepatitis and Sclerosis of Liver patients is elevated differently. The level is <300μg/l, in fact, most patients have a level of <100μg/l,
The reason for the elevation is mainly due to the regeneration of destroyed liver cell makes itself have the ability of producing AFP. The AFP gets right again along with the recovery of the destroyed liver cell
3.  The AFP in the serum of Germ embryonic tumor suffered patients is evidently elevated.
4.   Three months later after pregnancy, the AFP level in the serum is elevated. This increasing will come to the highest point in her 7 to 8 months of pregnancy, which is below 400ng/L. Three weeks after birth, the AFP levels are decreased to normal range. If the AFP level is unexpected elevated, we should take the possibility of fetal nerve anomaly into consideration.

What is precaution in the process of using one step FOB test?

When one can see the Bloody stool by naked eyes, he is suggested to identify the Red cell under microscope. Because the antigen used in this product is specification only to the Hb of human being, the Occult Blood can be negative when the large quantity of red cell have not been destroyed.
If Tarry Stool exists, meanwhile, the concentration of Hb excess the scope of test, the result may be negative. To solve this problem, delude the specimen of stool enough.
Strip test: take out one drop of mixture from the specimen container, and drop it into the test tube with 1 ml distilled water. Test it by strip. If the specimen is tarry stool and negative even after dilute and that may be caused by the destroyed of mmunogenicity and lost of unity with antibody because Hb stays in the alimentary canall too long time. In this case, you may start a comprehensive diagnostic along with the clinical diagnostic.

Drug Abuse Test

Drug Abuse Test

What is Morphine?

Morphine is isolated from crude opium, which is a resinous prep of the opium poppy, Papaver somniferum. It is a potent narcotic analgesic, and its primary clinical use is in the management of moderately severe and severe pain. After heroin, morphine has the greatest dependence liability of the narcotic analgesics in common use. Once stop supplying, obvious phenomenon like perspiration, shiver, fever, high blood pressure, muscle ache and convulsion will happen. Lone-term use will effect lunacy, overdose will effect breath halt and bring on death.

What is Cocaine?

In its pure form, cocaine is a white crystalline powder extracted from the leaves of the South American coca plant. It is the strongest local anesthetic and central nervous system stimulant. Various doses of cocaine can also produce neurological and behavioral problems like: dizziness, headache, movement problems, anxiety, insomnia, depression and hallucinations. Physical risks are slowness of eye, deaf, nonnasality and nasal cavity abscess, loss appetite and result in cacotrophia, overdose will effect server syndrome even death.

What is Methamphetamine?

Methamphetamine is an addictive stimulant drug that strongly activates certain systems in the brain. Methamphetamine is chemically related to amphetamine, but the central nervous system effects of methamphetamine are greater. It is very popular in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Filipine and some other Asian countries. Because one person will become addiction after one time taste, it is also named SPEED. Even small amounts of methamphetamine can produce euphoria, increased alertness, paranoia, decreased appetite and increased physical activity. Other central nervous system effects include athetosis (writhing jerky, or flailing movements), irritability, extreme nervousness, insomnia, confusion, tremors, anxiety, aggression, incessant talking, hyperthermia, and convulsions. Hyperthermia (extreme rise in body temperature as high as 108 degrees) and convulsions sometimes can result in death.

What is Ecstasy/ MDMA?

MDMA is a synthetic, psychoactive drug chemically similar to the stimulant methamphetamine and the hallucinogen mescaline. Street names for MDMA include Ecstasy, Adam, XTC, hug, beans, and love drug. It is usually be made to colorful troche. During recent two years, MDMA is very deluge in China to some extent, it is used in dancery, KTV room and other public places. MDMA exerts its primary effects in the brain on neurons that use the chemical serotonin to communicate with other neurons. The serotonin system plays an important role in regulating mood, aggression, sexual activity, sleep, and sensitivity to pain, Users of MDMA face many of the same risks as users of other stimulants such as cocaine and amphetamines. These include increases in heart rate and blood pressure, a special risk for people with circulatory problems or heart disease, and other symptoms such as muscle tension, involuntary teeth clenching, nausea, blurred vision, faintness, and chills or sweating. Long-term use of MDMA will effect schizophrenia and death.
